war memorial

The Council owns a number of properties in the village: the War Memorial, the
garden at Stafford Mount (behind the wooden bus shelter), the Cemetery, and the grass triangle at the top of Church St. It also owns the play equipment and artificial surfaces in the Uplyme Playground, but the land itself belongs to Fields in Trust, under the stewardship of the trustees of King George’s Field. It is also responsible for some street furniture: three bus shelters and someĀ  litter bins for example.
