There have been 4 serious flood episodes since January 2011, and there are a number of reports and self-help documents on the web site that you may find useful.
Devon County Council’s flood report (PDF file) was published in March 2013 in draft form. Also an Uplyme Parish Flood Map from the Environment Agency. Two advisory documents for you to download: Living on the edge (advice for riparian owners) and Before, during and after a flood: self help advice.

- September 2013: a public meeting was held but only a handful of people turned up, being greatly outnumbered by the people offering advice. No-one from the worst affected areas attended, sadly.
- There was a working meeting between Councillors, MP, Devon CC officers, and DCC/EDDC Councillors on 27/2/2015. Minutes are available: note that following the meeting, the possibility of installing a bridge at Hacker’s Mead receded, following landowner discussions and the alteration of the hydraulic model to take account of the overflow ditch through the playground.
